Joseph Vipond Migrated from Wales 1860 see below

Joseph Vipond born Wales 1827 with Wife Mary [Williams] Went to Australia 1860 aboard the “Ramillies” which arrived from Plymouth Nov 11^th 1860. The following children went as well William born abt 1852, Annie born Abt 1853, Sarah Born Abt 1855 and Richard Born Abt 1859. Source L & G Mulquin GLAMORGAN Lrootsweb 1997. I think at least one son Thomas may have been born in Australia. According to L & G Mulquin the above Joseph Died 1868.

I believe that the above Joseph was the son of William Vipon [Vipond] born 1807 and the brother of William born 1825, Richard born 1838? who went to the USA and Thomas born 1828 who went to the USA and on to Canada.

The above Viponds were probably non conformists and no church records have been found for them so far. It is also strange that other than William Vipan [probably the son born 1825 who went to USA] a lodger in Aberdare no trace of these Vipond's show up in the 1841 or 1851 censuses, which is very disappointing. However marriage certificates for all the above sons are available from Merthyr Tydfil BMD.

Joseph VIPEN was born C1824 in Merfa Tydfil Wales. He died in South Australia. Joseph married Mary WILLIAMS.

Mary WILLIAMS was born C1828 in England. She married Joseph VIPEN.

		M	vi	Thomas VIPEN was born 1 Jul 1864 and died 3 Nov 1920.
		F	vii	Mary VIPEN was born 9 Jul 1866 in Port Adelaide.
